Questions from first-timers
Do I need to be able to swim?
For Discover Scuba you need to be comfortable in the water. For certificate courses you need to swim 200 metres and float for 10 minutes.
What if I feel nervous?
Tell us before we start. We never rush a nervous diver.
Can children dive?
Children can start in shallow water from age 8 with Bubblemaker, and from age 10 with Discover Scuba.
Do I need a medical?
Everyone completes a short medical questionnaire. Some conditions need a doctor's sign-off before diving, so check it before you travel.
Can I dive and then fly home?
Leave at least 18 hours between your last dive and your flight.
